Portfolio Recovery Associates!

PRA has reported on my credit since 04/24 on all 3 bureaus. They originally reported for $699, a few months later they reduced the debt by $41 (only updated Experian & Transunion) On 11/24 I disputed the account with Equifax (not sure why I didn't dispute the other 2), anyway, Equifax deleted the collection account. I just found out (I requested and received court documents today) back in 10/24 PRA filed a lawsuit against me for this debt, and although they had my current address in all of their "supporting documents" they provided a completely erroneous address for the servers to serve me. 11/24 (a month later) PRA filed a motion to dismiss the case. Since early 2025 I have been disputing this account with Ex & Tr and every time they come back verified. It was not until 10/25 that I submitted a CFPB complaint for all 3, that I finally received ANY communication from PRA (a 3 sentence letter from Synchrony with the last 4 of the account, 699-no dollar amount- and informing me my debt was sold to PRA, a Synchrony bank statement for $408, and their very own debt letter for $658). Transunions' response was that they updated my personal information -__-. Experian stated PRA verified this account. I requested full OALD from PRA in a letter after that response, they mailed me the exact documents as their CFPB response. Transunion currently stated this account has already been verified therefore they wont take my dispute any longer, Experian continues to treat it as "re-investigations" which Im sure PRA will respond as "verified". I am not sure what else to do, but I am hoping with the court docs I got today from them suing me and dismissing it, I can get somewhere than what I've got so far. If ANYONE can advise or point me in the right direction I'd greatly appreciate it! Brian, I might have to book a consultation soon!
