ParkerGPT keeps forgetting

Is anyone else having an issue with forgetting things that you have told it? For example, it will ask me when the last time the account was paid. I tell it and then it forgets later in the conversation of the date and asks for it again. I also have an issue that it keeps bringing up Statue of Limitation defenses even though we have been over it that it has been well within the statute of limitations as the last payment was only 1.5 years ago. I feel like it just doesn't want to get the facts completely correct while it is trying to push for the same defenses even if they are not actual defenses that are going to work in my case.

I do believe that it has a lot of potential and it is absolutely helping me get further then i would have on my own without the knowledge that it is providing so I do thank you for that and I don't mind giving it the information I just feel like I shouldn't have to keep giving it the same information as it feels like a step backwards every time that I do.

Tell the AI you want to start working on a new case. This is how I have been reseting it when I talk to it entirely too much. You can Just tell it to remember that SOL doesn't apply. You might want to specify your requests or questions more. You can also tell it not to generate documents or other features that may annoy you. You could tell it you want to use a specific kind of defense. You can also ask to do a paragraph by paragraph analysis. I usually pull up my state court rules in one tab and have the AI in another tab. I would recommend feeding it one paragraph at a time it will give pretty detailed breakdown of what is and is not being said if you ask it to. Trying giving it a numbered list of rules to follow as like a header before you give it input The following is an example:

3. etc

same thing happens to me. ParkerGPT is great in theory but it gets confused easily. it replied with someone else's personal account info on it's first reply to me before i had even fed it anything with instructions on how i should proceed. most of which was totally irrelevant, different bank, different person name, different account info, different account details. it can't remember anything within the same chat, and also can't access anything across multiple chats. so each time you interact with ParkerGPT it will be like it's first time talking to you.

You have to watch it and make sure you double check everything because it will forget things, it will count things wrong, it will put things into your case from examples that were used to train it, it will get fixated on violations that don't actually apply to your case. I've wasted a TON of time re-uploading documents or trying to get it back on track when it goes on a tangent from a re-uploaded document. It is still more efficient than me doing all the research and drafting completely manually, but with some refinement it would so much more powerful.

This an issue of context windows, and training data as you all have pointed out above. Older data gets truncated or discarded, and training data gets combined with your prompts, case facts, and local rules. It gets worse the longer you continue the chat, so avoid it by focusing each chat on one, very specific task. I have one chat to draft a first version of a pleading or motion, then open a new chat to address a specific issue and only chat further if it’s directly tied in to the same, specific subject. Also, as @pro_sayer pointed out, using numbered lists helps it stay on track with more complex inquiries or instructions. Hope this helps a little!
