No Action From Court

Eileen · May 25, 2026

I filed a MOTION TO COMPEL ADEQUATE RESPONSES TO INTERROGATORIES AND REQUESTS FOR PRODUCTION OF DOCUMENTS on 5/7/26. As of now I've not heard anything from the court or the plaintiff. With past motions I was sent a court date within 7-10 days. Should I inquire with the court since we are going into week 3 with no response? I checked the online records with no updates.

Update as of 6/1. I called the court and was given a contact name/number and email address. They had not determined my court date yet, but after hearing from me they put it on the docket. Sent me an email with the date and also said they would be mailing a letter as well. Now it's time to prepare.

The way my court does it is, we have to check with the court first on available hearing dates to hear the motion, put that date on the Notice of Motion, and the date has to be at least 21 days out if we MAILED service of it to opposing party.

Yep. Don't forget the Notice of Hearing and Proof of Service to the Court and other side. Good luck with the hearing.

I sent an email to the court which they replied with a court date and time. I have yet to receive a mailed version. I sent a copy of the filed Motion to Compel to the plaintiff's attorney back in May. Are you saying that once I get the official hard copy notice of the court date that I will need to mail the plaintiff's attorney a notice of the upcoming hearing? I see in the court documents that it shows both myself and the plaintiffs attorney have been sent notification. I also see the hearing scheduled on the docket.
