Just sharing my story here as well. It's been a roller coaster of emotions from what am I doing to I totally got this. Filing my answer, affirmative defenses, and sworn denial this week. Afterwards, will engage in discovery to prove that they own the debt and not just an account number. I will try and keep you all updated as to what happens.
Starting out, found it strange that my complaint implies I opened an account with Plaintiff, and incurred charges, then breached contract terms. FALSE! Then they only attached an affidavit of indebtedness and ownership of account that talks about a transfer of an account that had 4 owners.
