Today I had a Hearing for my Motion to Quash and Motion for Summary Judgment. The judge almost granted my Motion to Quash, what kept her from granting it was that my Answer cured it. For 1 MCM cases the Affidavit of Service had the incorrect county, physical description mismatch (and they were not marginal). For the 2nd case the papers were left at my doorstep, physical description mismatch, incorrect county. After disputing it the plaintiff completely changed the dates, county, time and added additional details that did not happen. The judge was actually impressed with me, despite taking 2 losses. So we moved on to SD, the judge granted it. Cried for a good 30 minutes (after it was over). I was absolutely nervous. I am not going to appeal it. I did learn a lot though. Like not to file an Answer if I know I was not properly served. I received papers from an attorney for a different case, which I am pretty sure will go to court, so now I know what to expect.
