Hi all! Noob here. In Michigan being sued by LVNV. received no summons, only the court order.

I'm so glad to be a part of this community and so happy I stumbled upon Brian!

My Situation

The day before Thanksgiving I received a notice to appear from the State of Michigan, 19th district (Dearborn, MI)

I have not received a complaint so while I know I'm being sued by LVNV - represented by their attorney Richard Roosen out of Mount Clemens (P.O. box address) to be presided over by Judge Mark W. Somers.

Is a claim supposed to be attached to the notice to appear? Can I get this from the court? Evidently this court house never answers their phones so I'll stop by on Monday.

LVNV appears twice on all three major credit reports

1. PROSPER COASTAL COMMUNITY BANK - $1,411

2. WEBBANK FINGERHUT - $1,855

Strangely enough no payments on either accounts were ever made.

Also, both of these accounts appear to have opened within the year after I was recovering from a surgery to remove a brain tumor. The surgery was on July 14, 2022 and left me paralyzed on the right side so I had to relearn how to walk and feed myself and everything. I have no recollection of opening either of these accounts.

It's been 3 1/2 years and I'm doing really well, practically back to myself!

Any thoughts on my situation?
