I've being getting voicemails from a company who says they were contracted to serve me papers. what's weird is that aligns with the deadline I have for LVNV to responde to Discovery I asked them. is it umcommon for the plaintiff to use a service to responsed to discovery request? Should I call LVNV to confirm they are using a service? below is a copy of the transcript to the voicemail : " I am calling on behalf of document delivery services. We have been retained to schedule and deliver legal documents to you between the hours of 8 AM and 4 PM at either your home or your place of employment. We'll be making only two attempts to deliver these documents which will require a signature as proof of delivery. If we are unable to deliver these documents after 2 attempts, it will be classified as a failed action to serve, which will result in the pending matter to proceed further without your consent. If you have any questions or if you need to reschedule this delivery, press one now to be connected to the next available representative, or you can call the office directly at 866-558-1943 and reference your file number. 2026 787427. Please be advised this call has been logged and submitted as proof you have been notified of this pending legal matter. Have a good day."

I get clients calling me all the time about these kinds of calls and they are fear based. I tell them all the same thing: Arrange to meet them. Call their bluff. Never has anyone showed up and the calls go away. If it was legit they are going to serve you anyway and you may as well control the venue away from your house. Just call their bluff. Good bye nonsense. My two cents.
