AMEX Mediation

Debtfarmer · November 19, 2025

AMEX Mediation playbook.

I have a zoom soon for mediation with ZWICKER & ASSOC for my debt. If we do not agree can this be pushed out for a year or so before being resolved? Anyone have experience with these?

The debt is for a company card not personal. What are my options and is there a worksheet on the website? I have not signed for this there is just an automated block capital signature. I am thinking of not agreeing unless massive discount and go to the next stage .

Still getting used to the new website. Thanks for any advice

It is unclear specifically what you are asking. You have not signed to do the mediation? Why are you doing it? Is there a lawsuit? Not sure you want to do something like this but again, little information to go on. Thank you.

I received a NOTICE OF MEDIATION from the court in Florida. It is a zoom call with state appointed mediator for the plaintiff and defendant. Is this normal or very unusual? I am looking for any information on how to proceed. I am planning to join the call and explain what I said in the Answers and Affirmative defenses. Basically that debt was securitized and they no longer own it per their 10-K.

It is normal in Florida. They are trying to settle cases to empty the court docket. Stick to your guns but be flexible to good offers. Don't overload the court as it is not something the mediator deals with. Just dollars and cents at that level. Have number you will settle on practice in your head to answer possible questions and write them down (questions and answers) so you are ready. Preparation eliminates anxiety. Good luck.

Just finished the mediation they offered 50% off and I held for more so we are going to court. They had two Lawyers on the zoom which I thought was alot for this small case $8.5K. I said the trust owns the debt and as it was securitized. One lawyer said we do not securitize any debt !! I said its in your 10-K filings $30B 2023 and from your own documents. The other lawyer says we still own and collect the debt when securitized per some court case. I said ownership was transferred.

The mediator stepped in and opened another room for negotiations. we then did not agree at 50% discount. So basically at mediation stage they offer 50% discount to settle or go to court. ps: This case is a company debt not personal which I have not signed for.
