Motion to Dismiss With Prejudice – New Jersey

Hey Parker, I'm looking up this ruling and it says: If the case is dismissed with prejudice, the case is over and can never be filed again. This bars the plaintiff from bringing the action again using the same claims. The case is then “res judicata” on any claims that were or could have been brought upon the original filing. However, it can be appealed.

My question is: Why would I need an Order from the court now to finalize things. I'm not following. Can you elaborate on this. Thank you.

Again, the Court speaks through its Orders. What written proof can you provide anyone that the lawsuit was dismissed with prejudice?
