LVNV FUNDING LLC NOT A DEBT COLLECTOR IN MASSACHUSETTS

Good evening all,

I have been defending myself pro se against an LVNV lawsuit, I answered and filed counterclaims with FDCPA and MDCPA violations. The plaintiff's counsel Schreiber Law llc filed a motion to dismiss my counterclaims. The hearing was held and the judge basically didn't listen to anything I had to say since the opposing counsel handed him a copy of Dorrian v. LVNV Funding, LLC which states: LVNV is a "passive debt buyer" and not a "debt collector" therefore not subject to FDCPA or MDCPA in MA. The motion to dismiss was allowed. My question is can I hold the law firm representing LVNV liable for the FDCPA and MDCPA violations since they are the licensed debt collector? If so, how would I go about doing that?
