Generally, understand it is all about communication and keep the lines open. Just ask the other side for the extension you want. No one is going to say no as they a. Risk you saying no when there is something they need and b. More important, the court system promotes civility so saying no will not look good to a judge. So, have a date when you intend to supply whatever it is you need an extension on and write a letter afterwards confirming or memorializing everything. Lastly, you can file a Motion for Extension of Time (on the thing you need an extension on) with the Court. If the other side won't work with you, say the dates you attempted to seek the extension from the other side in the motion and you attempted in good faith to obtain an extension, and the other side would not respond or said know. Courts like the communication so show you tried to work with the other side. Good luck.

Could you ask this question on the community board as I want everyone to use this information, and I will make it my response there. Thank you.
