I was reading Citibank Credit Card Issuance Trust and came across this, citbank states they own the accounts on the master trust. This would mess up the entire securtization?

Is that your specific case and the specific debt or yours and the trust that covers your debt? You will need to look at the Pooling and Servicing agreement of the Trust where your specific debt is located.
